Dovenmuehle Mortgage - Forced purchase of insurance unnecessarily

My home insurance was changed to another company and Dovenmuehle claimed it had lapsed. They purchased insurance for 15 days two weeks after the new insurance was in force.
They refuse to reimburse the exorbitant premium. To me this is a ripoff, wanting to get their cut from the insurance co they deal with.
The house was never at risk.
I have tried so hard to make them understand, but their staff just goes blindly by checklists which they don't really get. If you attempt to escalate the issue they become rude, aloof and unresponsive.
I will have to resort to legal action.

They are doing the same with me. I keep getting these cancellation notices from Southern Fidelity.
These are escrow payments that Dovenmuehl have.
SFi claims they didn't get payment. What's up with that?
MY FORCED PLACED INSURANCE COSTS $16,333 VERSUS THE $1,600 POLICY THAT WE HAD PURCHASED ON OUR LITTLE 3-BEDROOM HOME. THIS TRANSLATED TO AN INCREASE IN MORTGAGE PAYMENT FROM $800 T0 $2300 PER MONTH FOR A PERIOD WHEN THERE WAS NO CLAIMS AND THE COMPANY SUFFERED NO LOSS.
I BELEIVE THAT THIS IS ENOUGH TO MAKE SOMEONE LOOSE THEIR HOME. WHEN IS PRESIDENT OBAMA GOING TO LOOK AT THIS PRACTICE OF GOUGING THEIR CUSTOMERS AND FORECLOSING ON HOMES DUE TO EXORBITANT INSURANCE PREMIUMS WHICH ARE PURE PROFIT??
Hey ***. Supply them evidence of Insurance without a lapse, and they will refund any charges 100%.
The problem is, that you can't supply EOI because your insurance did lapse.
You feel as though you are special and do not have to follow the rules... YOU LOSE!
I have had Dovenmuehle try to purchase exorbitant insurance for me three years in a row. I've been able to get out of it each year, only after showing them proof that I registered with their *** on-line tool, notified my insurance agency, which said they already sent proof, to send proof again, and provide pages of documentation that Dovenmuehle was notified long before any insurance was automatically renewed.
pretty annoying. I'm sorry you got stuck with their useless insurance, and I hope you win damages as well.
